Standard passports are now issued via the Regional Passport Processing Centre in Pretoria, South Africa.
But you still have to apply via the High Commission in Freetown. You should not send your applications direct to Pretoria, South Africa - they will be sent back to you and you will lose the money you sent on the courier charge.
Further detailed information on the application process is available here.
Why have we done this? Please see this leaflet for all the changes related to the way we issue passport overseas. If you need to travel urgently and your standard passport is not available we may be able to help you with emergency travel documentation.
Cost for Emergency Travel Document is Le705,000 (£95.00) payable in LE5,000 or LE10,000 notes at the High Commission in Freetown.
Please call the Consular Section of the High Commission and explain that you need to travel urgently.
